Start Here: PSX Beginner Roadmap
New to the Pakistan Stock Exchange? Follow these nine steps in order. Each one links to a free page on this site, so you can learn at your own pace.
Understand what a share is
A share is a small part of a real business. Read our free Learn PSX articles and keep the Urdu–English glossary open for any new word.
Learn before you put in money
Most costly mistakes happen in the first few months: buying on tips, no stop loss, putting everything in one share. Learn the basics of charts and risk first; our Urdu PSX course is built for exactly this stage.
Skip the expensive trial and error
Our 12-month Urdu PSX course takes you from zero to complete technical analysis strategies, with videos you can watch on your phone at your own pace.
Join the courseBecome a tax filer
Filers on FBR’s Active Taxpayer List pay lower tax on dividends and profits. See our PSX tax guide.
Open your account with a registered broker
Choose a PSX-registered broker, open your CDC sub-account and keep your login details private. Our broker guide explains the steps.
Protect yourself from scams
Never send money to a personal account and never join “guaranteed profit” groups. Read our scam alerts page before you start.
Watch the market without trading
Spend a few weeks following the daily market summary, news, results and our YouTube analysis. Notice how prices react.
Practise on charts
Open live charts, mark trends, support and resistance, and write down what you would do. Compare it with what actually happens.
Plan every trade and size it
Before any trade, decide your entry, stop loss and target, and use the position size calculator so one loss never hurts badly.
Start small and keep a journal
Begin with an amount you can afford to lose, record every trade and why you took it, and review it every month. Add money only when your process works.
Ready to learn it step by step?
Everything on this roadmap is covered in detail in our Urdu course: charts, indicators, risk management and complete strategies, with real PSX examples.
